Scotmas Group are seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer.
To play a crucial hands-on role in the design and manufacture of high-quality chlorine dioxide products and technologies for water treatment, hygiene and biosecurity.

Responsibilities
- Utilise 2D/3D CAD software to design and create engineering solutions
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop new products
- Ensure projects meet technical specifications and standards
- Performing computer simulations and experiments to virtually test and refine the designs
- Planning and executing mechanical designs using CAD, CAM, and 3D CAD programs
- Overseeing the development and manufacturing of physical prototypes for testing
- Documenting the design process, iterations, and test analytics
- Ensure material stock levels are correct for projects
- Produce, update and store manufacturing drawings

- Proficient in 2D/3D CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks)
- Excellent communication skills
- A passion for innovation and technology
- Excellent attention to detail, verbal and written communication skills
- Analytical and strong organisational skills
- Conscientious & self-motivated
- Pro-active, “can-do” attitude
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or relevant experience
- A minimum of 2 years of experience as a mechanical design engineer
- Sound knowledge of design and engineering principles and best practices
- Experience of design stock listing with MRP systems
